PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA – Located at 5655 Spalding Drive, the Intuitive Surgical Georgia Campus Expansion is set to become a regional headquarters for one of the world’s leaders in minimally invasive surgical care. The six-building campus, totaling more than 750,000 square feet, will house advanced manufacturing and engineering operations, state-of-the-art training facilities for surgeons and hospital care teams, and administrative offices. With such a complex and large-scale project, the quality of the concrete slabs would play a critical role in the performance and longevity of the facility.
American Structural Concrete was tasked with delivering consistent, high-quality placements on a demanding schedule. The original specifications called for wet-curing methods—an approach that requires extensive labor, consumes thousands of gallons of water, and delays follow-on trades while slabs remain covered. Each pour could add several days of curing and drying time before other work could resume, creating a ripple effect on the schedule.
Seeking a more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solution, American Structural and General Contractor, DPR, worked with Engineer Walter P. Moore, who had successfully approved SINAK LithiumCure 2000 for use on other landmark projects such as the SoFi Stadium concourse in California. After reviewing the technical data, Moore approved LithiumCure 2000 as a direct replacement for the wet-cure requirement.
LithiumCure 2000’s one-coat spray application allowed crews to apply the curing agent quickly and uniformly without specialized equipment or extended downtime. Slabs could be accessed the same day, enabling other trades to continue work without delay. The performance benefits were matched by financial and environmental gains—conservative estimates showed $0.20 per square foot in savings and the elimination of approximately 3,500 gallons of water usage for every 10,000 square feet of treated concrete. Across the campus, these savings translate into significant cost reductions and measurable resource conservation.
From accelerated schedules to reduced labor demands and sustainable construction practices, the Intuitive Surgical Georgia Campus Expansion demonstrates how SINAK curing agents can replace outdated methods, protect concrete quality, and deliver long-term value for owners and contractors alike.
SINAK LithiumCure 2000 represents the next generation of concrete curing technology, designed to maximize concrete performance and accelerate compressive strength gain for superior long-term durability. Combining Zero VOC environmental responsibility with verified EPD and HPD documentation, plus an LBC Red List Free Declare Label, LithiumCure 2000 empowers projects to achieve LEED points and meet the highest sustainability standards—all while delivering unmatched curing performance for the most demanding applications.
For more than 40 years, SINAK has pioneered innovative solutions that replace outdated concrete curing methods. By eliminating the costly delays, water waste, and failures associated with traditional practices, SINAK products help owners, engineers, and contractors deliver higher-performing slabs from the start—because together we can Build Something Better.
